Made For You Comics
Responsible AI Use
Made For You Comics uses artificial intelligence to write and draw a comic from what you tell us. We are committed to using it responsibly and transparently, and to being clear about what it can and cannot do.
How a comic is made
You describe the people, pets, places and moments that belong in the story, choose an art style and a story direction, and may upload photographs. Large language models turn that into a script and a page-by-page plan; image models draw the cover and the interior pages from it. Content is created fresh each time, so the same answers will not produce the same comic twice.
Everything here is a drawing, not a record
A comic made here is fiction. The events in it did not happen the way they are drawn, even when you based them on something real, and the dialogue was written by a machine rather than said by anyone.
A character drawn from a photograph is a likeness, not a portrait. It will read as the person you had in mind and it will get details wrong — hair, an expression, a proportion, the number of fingers. Faces of the same character can drift a little between pages. This is a property of the technology, not a fault we can fully remove, and it is why you see the cover before you buy anything.
Nothing produced here should be relied on as medical, legal, financial or any other professional advice.
Photographs and likeness
Upload a photograph only if you have the right to. That means a photograph you took or own, and the permission of anyone identifiable in it — and, where that person is a child, the permission of a parent or guardian.
Do not upload photographs of public figures, or of people you do not know, in order to put them in a story. Making a comic about a real person who did not agree to it is a misuse of the service whether or not the result is flattering.
We do not use photographs of identifiable people, or the comics made from them, in our own marketing without asking you first.
What you agree not to make
You may not use this service to:
- Depict a real person without their permission.
- Sexualise anyone, and in particular anyone who is or appears to be a minor.
- Harass, threaten, defame or humiliate anyone.
- Present a comic as a genuine record of an event, or as evidence.
- Infringe copyright or trademarks, including putting existing characters into a story.
- Produce content that is illegal or promotes harm.
We may decline a request, remove a comic, refuse to print one, and restrict or end access for misuse.
Children in comics
A great many of these comics are made for and about children, and they are welcome. The adult making the comic is the one who holds the permissions, chooses what appears, and reviews the story and the cover before buying. Our content rules apply to a child in a comic exactly as they do to an adult, and more strictly where they concern depiction.
Safety and moderation
We apply automated checks and our providers apply their own, and we review what is reported to us. No system catches everything, in either direction: something acceptable is occasionally refused, and something unacceptable occasionally gets through. If a comic contains something it should not, tell us at hello@obbo.me and we will deal with it.
Third-party AI providers
We rely on third-party AI providers to write and draw. What you enter and the photographs you upload are sent to them so they can do that work. We may change or add providers to improve quality.
You decide what ships
You choose the story from suggestions or write your own, you can edit the title and the synopsis, you can change the art style, and you can start over. The cover is finished and shown to you before any payment. Nothing is printed that you have not approved.
Transparency
Every comic on this site is AI-generated, including the sample artwork shown on our pages. If you are ever unsure whether something here was made by a machine, assume it was.
